Renee started out in the entertainment industry in music supervision and artist management.  In 1995 she started her music supervision company, Artists In Motion.  She has music supervised/music consulted on more than 30 productions including Devils Playground, Dahmer, Plan B, Better Living Through Circuitry, Rave, Benny & Joon, Untamed Heart, Gang Of Roses, Black Cloud, etc.

In 2000 she partnered for the launch of her first music publishing company, Media Creature Music, where a shift in plans of the company’s direction lead Renee to redirect and lunch Heyday Media Group in January 2006.

Prior to Heyday Media Group, she had worked with such diverse artists and catalogs in both publishing and/or handling media licensing for the likes of Tom Waits, Tim Buckley, Ninja Tunes, Michelle Shocked, Up, Bustle & Out, The Herbaliser, Neil Halstead/Mojave 3, The Turtles, Sound In Color, Brook Benton/Clyde Otis Music, Bomp/Alive Records, to name just a few.

In 2003 she co-produced, with Poet Name Life, the groundbreaking Hip Hop / Electronic Christmas album ‘Christmas Eclectic’ featuring original recordings from Sharpshooters, Daz-I-Kue, Ming & FS, Juan Atkins, JT Donaldson, Josh One, etc.

In 2005, Renee felt the need for a progressing independent music publishing company that supports and encourages writers/artists to follow their own creative voice, not to compromise their craft by trying to fit into a neat little box.  Thus Heyday Media Group was born, an artist driven company that nurtures its writers/artists to focus on their creative path while Heyday focuses on general administration and seeking avenues to generate income, while bringing up the visibility and value to their catalog through promotions and media licensing.

I want to thank Heyday Media Group and Renee Travis for giving me this amazing opportunity.  I hope to take my passion for music, entertainment business knowledge and my positive philosophy to amplify the already powerful company presence!   Focusing on the development of business and licensing opportunities that will bring our artists’ passions to the forefront!   I will also take part in the forward movement of our catalog; acquiring and developing artist with the idea of establishing artistic independence and fostering their growth.  Strengthening the network of artist and professionals to which true artistry and business can thrive.  Commending the deep-rooted artist driven nature of the company, it is my aspiration to take our music and business into the future…
